If you are interested in visiting a place to study or to spend your free time, I suggest you visit Northern Ireland, or Ulster as it is also known. Its culture and customs are different from those of Spain. I was there for 3 weeks to improve my English, I recommend you visit Derry and Belfast. Derry is a historic city where you can meet many people from all the world, and it has a wide range of lively pubs and welcoming cafes. Here, you can discover the contrast between Catholics and Protestants. If you have time, you must visit the Giant´s Causeway, it´s amazing! Here, you can enjoy with astonishing panoramic views of the cliff, and from there you will see Scotland. In Belfast you can see the City Hall, the Queen´s University and the Botanic Gardens.
A useful tip: when asking for a pint of beer in a pub, you should say “Could you give me a pint of Harp or Guiness, please?” A pint of beer is half a litre.
Thanks you for reading this post, and I trust you will have an enjoyable trip to Ireland.
